This is because of several reasons. These are discussed in brief below:-1. Montana has a high heroin addicted population. Since heroin is the highest addictive drug in the state, it becomes necessary that people with other drug and alcohol addictions be kept away from the heroin addicted people. 2. Heroin is a highly debilitating drug. Once a person gets hooked to heroin, the brain becomes immune to it and to experience the same high again, the person starts increasing the dosage of the drug. This brings its own problems, such as the withdrawal of heroin may become much nastier than the withdrawal of other drugs.
3. Heroin addicted people are very vulnerable emotionally, and the drug addiction treatment program in Montana understands that. They need much more support and care than the people in a cocaine addiction or a marijuana addiction may require.
For these and other reasons, people with heroin addiction in Montana are suggested to be separate from people with other drug addictions during their treatment.
